Three new European distributors for WES+
Ramtech Electronics, manufacturer of the market leading WES+ wireless fire alarm system, has announced three new strategic partnerships with highly regarded and well renowned European distributors of fire safety products. The three new partnership agreements will see the innovative WES+ wireless fire alarm system distributed in Sweden, Finland and Austria.
Dafo Sweden and Dafo Finland will become distributors in these two northern European countries. Dafo Brand AB is based in Tyresö, Sweden, and is the largest Nordic supplier of fire suppression systems and fire safety equipment.
IBP-Brandschutz, a company that specialises in innovative fire safety systems, becomes the distributor for Austria.
Dafo Sweden, Dafo Finland and IBP-Brandschutz will be targeting construction firms in these countries that are looking to ensure the safety of their personnel on site and protect their clients’ assets from fire.
The three separate partnership agreements will open up significant new business opportunities for Ramtech Electronics in Europe. The company has an export team to support all its distributors.
WES+ is Europe’s only EN54 compliant wireless fire alarm system that is designed specifically for use on construction, refurbishment and demolition projects as well as other temporary sites.
WES+ was developed by Ramtech Electronics using best quality Category 1, Euro-harmonised radio in compliance with European standards covering the use of radio technology in emergency equipment (ETSI 300-220-1). This makes the system suitable for use in any European country, without the need to modify or adapt for local standards.
Paul Henson, Sales and Marketing Director at Ramtech Electronics:
“We welcome our new partners as they are highly experienced in the area of fire safety, whilst WES+ offers their customers a solution that is fully compliant with all European fire safety legislation. WES+ is already used in mainland Europe and having European mainland-based distributors is part of our strategy of providing a responsive, local service to construction professionals.”
WES+ complies with all relevant aspects of EN 54, an essential European-wide requirement that sets the standard for fire safety. EN 54 specifies an extremely robust set of tests for each type of unit which may form part of a fire detection and alarm system. These tests must be undertaken in a fully-approved nominated testing house. WES+ is independently tested and carries a CE mark with 4-digit test centre reference, guaranteeing that it is compliant with EN 54 and all other key safety legislation.
Paul Henson added:
“We are well known for the quality of our wireless fire alarm systems with construction professional in the UK and on mainland Europe, and it is encouraging to hear the strong interest that this has already generated for our three new distributors. We are very optimistic about the potential for WES+ in overseas markets and are looking to replicate what we have achieved in the UK with this innovative system.”
WES+ has already been specified on a number of large construction projects in Germany, including the €100 Euro Marstall shopping centre in Ludwigsburg. In the UK, WES+ has helped protect personnel and assets on projects as diverse as Crossrail, Heathrow Terminal 5, and demolition of Earls Court, plus many others.
